Sunday Afternoon Reminders:

  1. Be sure you have read ALL of the posts and messages below in this Summer Intensive Tab.

  2. Bring your ballet shoes, water, a wrap for your hips for Afro class,  a pen/pencil for your dance journal (I am providing dance journals and fruit daily), and an extra leo if you can in case you sweat through your morning one.

  3. Do not forget your PAYMENT and your LIABILITY release.  You may not dance without those.

  4. Be on TIME. Arrive at 9:30 to put your things away and begin stretching. Class begins promptly at 9:45.

  5. Remind your parents that pick up is at 2pm. THEY MUST BE ON TIME.  As stated before, the hallway will be locked for saftey reasons during our dance day.  They may wait for you in the Envios business quietly (it is still a business!) until you come out.

  6. Tell friends and family NOW about our Observation Day/Performance on Friday! Have them come see all your hard work at 1pm on Friday! (All other classes are CLOSED. No visitors. This creates a safe space for you as dance artists to create, fail, try, try, try and keep trying without judgement or fear. :)

  7.  Come each day LOOKING like a dancer:

    • HAIR in a bun: USE A BRUSH, hair product and pins. Do not be sloppy.

    • Tights NEATLY folded 2 times. (Morning tights are flesh colored or pink.)

    • Remember no bras or underwear under leos UNLESS you are wearing a bra that matches your skin/leo and is a SPORTS bra.

    • Sloppy clothes=sloppy dancing.

Use the back entrance (in the video below) if you arrive early or late (remember the hallway WILL BE LOCKED for safety reasons once class starts.) Please read ALL of the text underneath the video. It's not safe to just be standing out there by yourself on Grand Ave.  I will be there at 8:45-9am everyday.  Do not get there earlier than than that.

  1. Below is a picture of the front door of the Space. It will be open at 9am, and there WILL be a  BalletHaven  sign on the door. 

  2. Once you enter, go allllllllll the way to the end of the  hallway. That is where you'll see our studio space!

  3. For safety reasons, the hallway to the studio WILL BE LOCKED during our dance day. Be sure Parents who are picking dancers up know this!!!! BUT PARENTS STILL MUST BE ON TIME (@2pm) to get their dancers. (Just inside 266 Grand Ave,to the LEFT as you walk in, is another door to a mail-type center with seats where parents can wait briefly for dismissal. 

  4. We know parents want to watch class, but that is what Friday's Parent & Friend Observation Performance is for! Invite them! August 11th @ 1pm!
